Download, install, and get started.

Install Hall Edu on macOS

macOS 13 or later

Open  → About This Mac. If it shows “Chip”, choose Apple Silicon; if it shows “Processor Intel”, choose Intel.

Preview release without Apple notarization. A computer managed by your institution may require approval from IT support.

1. Wait for the download to finish. Find the .dmg file in Downloads in Finder.
2. Double-click the file, then drag Hall Edu to the Applications folder in the window that opens.
3. Open Hall Edu from Applications. If Apple cannot verify it, dismiss that message.
4. Only if you trust this download: open  → System Settings → Privacy & Security. Scroll to Security, choose “Open Anyway” beside Hall Edu, then confirm “Open”. Enter your password if asked.

Your first launch

The app opens its setup assistant. You do not need to install developer tools. Automatic transcription and analysis require configuring AI services, with Internet access and their own charges.

Install Hall Edu on Android

Companion app for Android 12 or later. Requires Hall Edu on a Mac. This preview is distributed outside Google Play.

1. On a phone running Android 12 or later, download the APK file and open it from Downloads.
2. If asked, open Settings and turn on “Allow from this source” for the browser you used. Return to the file and tap Install.
3. Keep Google Play Protect on and allow it to scan the app when asked. Stop if it detects a threat; do not turn protection off.
4. Open Hall-Edu Preview. To pair it, open Hall Edu on your Mac and go to Devices → Pair phone. Use the same private Wi-Fi and follow the link or QR code.
